- I enjoyed this second book as much of not more than the first. The characters were life like and the events as they happened kept my interest. I tried the site to be informed of when the next book would be available but it wasn't working. Hope I will be informed, I was with this one so perhaps I will be able to read the next story in the series. Keep up the good 👠work. Thanks for sharing your talent with us your readers.

- Delia Watson won’t wed another man except her friend from back home Calvin Ayers after she was married to an abusive man who went missing during the civil war. She worries that her husband is not really dead and thinks she might have seen him in Virginia City. J.B. Wood is Cal’s business partner and when he gets word that he’s married another woman he takes it upon himself to look out for Delia and help her set up her washing business out of his homestead. There is an attraction, but they don’t act on it until her past catches up with her. There was plenty of humor, suspense, and romance in this historical western romance. I love the dog Dawsy would kept following Delia around because of the soap she made. J.B. with his hollow boot was a softy under his gruff persona.
- J.B. Was a prospecting gold miner. Delia arrived in town by stage coach hoping her life long friend was waiting for her to be her groom, Cal Ayers. He had not received her letter saying she was on her way and had rescued an young woman that he hoped would marry him. J. B. Was his close friend , so he felt responsible for Delia until Cal could get there. He took Delia to Virginia City to where his mine was to wait for Cal since she was one of few women and was not safe. What will become of Delia? Does she find safety and true love? You will enjoy reading this story to find out.
